February 27-March 3rd marks National Invasive Species Awareness Week. Florida is a state on the front lines of defense against invasive species ranging from the Burmese python running amok in the Everglades, terrestrial plants like the Brazilian Pepper, which chokes out native species lowering the biodiversity of some of our most important ecosystems. TAMPA — Mayor Bob Buckhorn turned the ceremonial scissors over to his daughters Tuesday morning to cut the ribbon and officially open Water Works Park.
Environmental Engineering Consultants, Inc. (EEC) had the pleasure of working with Tampa Electric Company (TECO) on the Port Manatee Project. We assessed groundwater and soil impacts from unauthorized disposal of waste from the 1970’s in a tidal swamp/former fish farm area. We performed source removal of waste and impacted soils. We helped prepare restrictive covariant for the property.
